Living life on the borderline

General updating.

Posted on: February 13, 2011

Hello lovely madosphere bloggers. I apologise for my sporadic updating. So much happens & there are so few words to express it properly/in an anonymous way!

  • I had an appointment with my psychiatrist, which induced no little stress in me, but actually went really well. I’m keeping a diary of my mood swings to take to appointments. Hopefully in a few years time, I could be medication-free. Which would be brilliant because I am terrible at remembering to take medication.
  • Starting therapy is going well. I like my new therapist & I think we are building up a “rapport” as it were, in a therapeutic sense. I didn’t think I’d get on with another therapist as well as I did with CAMHS, but maybe I can!
  • I have an assessment at an eating disorder clinic coming up soon. I’m well aware that it will probably not go anywhere because there are restrictions & criteria on weight & such. This upsets me a lot – I was really underweight when I went into hospital, & the combinations of forcing the meals & Mirtazapine made me go from quite underweight to definitely overweight in two months. I’m still struggling to lose that weight. So do I deserve help? I don’t know.
  • I eventually lost my support worker, which was meant to be a positive thing but… not really?

Hmm, what else can I think of… not much at the moment. I had to have quite a few meds earlier as I went a bit mentalist while I was out with friends, so I slept for 5 hours & now I’m just walking into things. Hopefully I will update more often & sooner.

About the blogger.

I'm an 18 year old girl/woman/person of the female gender who blogs about growing up, living with mental health problems and her experience with the NHS mental health services, both CAMHS and CMHTs. Expect plenty of teenage angst and general craziness. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
